As you can see our building is literally falling apart.

Bathroom sinks and showers are permanently closed in many locations in the building constructed in 1930. Repairs are not an option due to asbestos concerns. There are not enough facilities for our clients and staff.

Families are crammed in small rooms like these. In the winter, the over 200 leaky windows in the building make it difficult to regulate temperature. The Summer months are also a struggle as there is no air conditioning. Rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors are sweltering.

Due to lack of space, storage happens mostly in our basement, which you can see is often flooded. The photo on the right was taken on the 2nd floor in the area where we store our dry food. Over the years, so many leaks have caused walls to crumble.

Our men’s dorm is overcrowded and often at capacity requiring staff to place mats on the floor for additional sleeping space.
